The gites are located in the small and peaceful village of La Bataille, 4km from Chef Boutonne, a market town steeped in history and recently awarded 'Petit Cite de Caractere'.
You can enjoy restaurants, bars, boulangeries, pâtisseries, a cinema, bustling markets and regular festivals throughout the summer months.
A visit to Chateau De Javarzay in the centre of the town is a must, with beautiful walks through the grounds, around the fishing lake and riverside strolls along the river Boutonne. You will find an abundance of other pretty french towns to explore within a short drive of Chef Boutonne.
Centrally located for exploring the wider area, the beautiful coastal city of La Rochelle is just over an hour away, Niort 45 minutes away and the cities of Poitiers, Angouleme and Limoges all within an hours drive.
